Let me introduce myself, I am Andrew Sillett the man behind A.Sillett Tree Surgeon Ltd and A.Sillett Groundcare. Based in South Norfolk and covering Norwich, Norfolk and North Suffolk, we strive to offer each customer a personal and straight forward approach from start to finish for any tree, hedge or stump grinding project you wish to take place.
I have been in the trade for over 20 years now after starting in 1998 as a tree surgeons' labourer employed by a local firm. I then quickly progressed onto completing all certifications and gaining a wealth of experience from working alongside top contractors in tree work, to tree climbing at a high level and taking my experience to also work overseas. I then ultimately decided to start my own business which has now run successfully since 2009.
As a husband, father and a Norfolk native, I have always sought to build an honest and hard working business from which I can do what I love doing and working in the great outdoors. I get enquiries from people who know exactly what they want and from people whom have never had arboricultural work carried out before.
About us
We are an established, experienced team consisting of five fully NPTC qualified staff with St Johns first aid training and full public liability insurance with Aviva group. We also hold all relevant health and safety certificates that enable us to work on construction sites with our CSCS registered trained operative staff.
By running a smaller team, we are able to offer a more personalised approach which helps us give both our loyal returning customers and new customers a bespoke service. Rest assured that your enquires will be answered by myself.

The process
From the first point of contact ( please leave a voicemail if unanswered as I maybe up a tree! ) I will fix a date and time suitable for us both to meet on site to discuss your query and answer and questions you may have. I will then provide a written, detailed quotation, generally via email, usually within 48hrs. If my quotation is accepted, I will then confirm with you a date and time of arrival at our earliest availability. Then, simply wait for us to do what we’re good at and carry out your project!
We will leave the site clean and tidy, we’re highly rated and recommended for doing this. Our customer testimonials are proof of this.
The resulting green waste is generally processed on site with our wood chipper and any larger wood sawn into pieces and removed from garden and taken away. Of course if you require the woodchip and/or cord wood, then we can leave large, small or even split into logs with our petrol powered log splitter if requested or even hired to yourselves to split? This is generally discussed during quotation and will reflect in price too.
